The measurement technique is simple that user has to keep the sample on measuring stage. With the aid of colour video microscope the area and position of the sample for measurement can be optimized either manually or using programmable stage. After satisfying all safety features, enter START for measurement. The analysis is completed within specified measuring time and results are displayed on monitor. The certificate can be printed for hard copy of results as desired by the operator.

The modified version of such XRF unit called Compact is specially developed and designed to be used for Zari alloys, fine Zari samples and even to determine thickness of precious plating over Zari threads. The sample Compact unit can be used for multiple applications like alloy purity measurements, impurities determinations, qualitative analysis, thickness measurement etc. this is to confirm that the unit is able to measure samples like fine threads, bunch of wires, bobbins, weaving nets and patterns on cloths, final sarees etc. non-destructively in few minutes. The normal analysis time varies between 30-90 seconds depending upon type f samples and accuracy/precision expectations. On analysis of Zaries over final sarees it has been noted that different qualities of Zares are used for borders, intermediate design, linings, special patterns etc. hence averaging of all these of Zaries gives true value of the final product for the consumer.

The general modifications/ugradations made on ComPact XRF unit to be used for Zari application includes the following…

Special fixed standard mall collimator either 0.1mm or 0.3mm or optional changeable dual/multiple collimators to optimize the area of measurements. The collimators are available in circular of slot form with desired dimensions depending upon application requirements.

Large sample chamber with desired flat sample stage to hold any type of samples from fine Zari threads to long sarees.

Slotted door deign with radiation protection shield to move large sarees or related samples for measuring at different positions. The sarees or large samples can be protruded from the slotted chamber and can be moved either mechanically to position the area of measurement.

Magnified colour video microscope to locate the area and position the sample for precise measurement. The dual magnification depending upon the size of monitor

Optional motorized Z-stage or programmable X-Y samples stage for ease in operations. The auto focus mode is available with the use of motorized Z-stage to focus the samples accurately every time.
